Food shortage and the rest or the world

After looking to this half joke half true caricature I wonder how the ‘food security‘ can be interpreted worldwide. And if a similar interpretation is possible (and why would not be?) then I wonder if closing the yield gaps to ‘solve’ food security and sacrifying biodiversity is worth it.
